On September 20th, Lisa and I were part of an impressive group of women to be honored at the Women of Color Empowered luncheon, hosted by NW Asian Weekly, which was held at the New Hong Kong restaurant in Seattle’s International District. Carolyn Kelly, former president and COO of the Seattle Times, emceed the event.
The theme of the luncheon was Women in New Ventures, and each honoree was called to the stage to answer one question about being an entrepreneur.
Luckily, Lisa and I were up first…which meant we didn’t have time to be too nervous!
It was so great to hear everyone’s valuable advice, stories, history, and business wisdom.
…over dim sum, no less.
A big thanks to Bonnie Miller for nominating Hourglass, and to NW Asian Weekly for hosting such a lovely event.
And finally, congratulations to our fellow honorees!
