This morning, we got up at 4am for an interview with WCCO News, which included the official unveiling of the shoes we were commissioned to create as a gift for Lady Gaga.
Let me tell you, there is just about nothing more surreal than getting up at 4am (or 2am, as our Seattle brains told us it was) to unveil shoes for Lady Gaga.
I will post pictures of the famous shoes at the end of this post, but first a quick recap of the last two days:
After our interview with Twin Cities Live yesterday…
Lisa, Debbie and I with the hosts Twin Cities Live after the show.
…we headed to Lori and Julia’s radio show (Tuesday, hour two–we’re the first segment. We’ll post a clip of just our part soon). Lori and Julia were both brimming with infectious energy and fun to be around. We chatted about Hourglass, art, Gaga, other celebrities we’d like to work with, and The Shoes.
Lisa and I talk shoes with Lori.
Debbie shares a mic with Julia and explains the concept behind the design.
We then headed to a coffeehouse Uptown to interview with C.J., a reporter for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. By that point, we were all bleary-eyed and exhausted, but C.J. was a good sport and we had fun.
Sleep-deprivation is hysterical.
Last night we went to bed very, very early. I would guess that most of us stared at the ceiling for quite awhile before fiiiiiinally falling asleep and dreaming fitful bee dreams. But maybe that was just me.
…which brings me to this morning, and our ungodly early–but very fun–WCCO interview, and official unveiling.
First, here’s our segment.
Before the unveiling…
And finally, finally…the shoes.
Lady Gaga…we hope you adore them as much as we do.
(and we can’t wait to see the show tonight!)
