Lisa, Debbie and I flew from wet Seattle to frigid Minneapolis with last night, to hand-deliver the shoes we were commissioned by the Xcel Energy Center to design and create as a gift for Lady Gaga.
At the airport.
The mood on the plane was pretty hard to describe. Like the loaded, quiet, nervous anticipation of waiting in the wings for your turn on stage.
Of course we carried them on.
After a missing-luggage crisis was averted, after we’d made it safely to my parent’s house, where we’re staying, after getting settled in and caught up and warm…we all just sort of stared at each other.
The past few weeks have been just crazy. We have had more media coverage than ever, more sales than ever, more calls and emails and general buzz around our company than ever. The trajectory feels almost vertical.
Today we have two television interviews and a radio interview. Tomorrow is the grand unveiling at the venue, and even more television. We will keep you posted.
(and please wish us luck!)
