Hourglass Footwear in the 2013 Miss America Pageant! Well, kinda.

Happy Official Holiday Season!

Roll your eyes if you must, but we’ve already been listening to the Pandora Holiday station in the studio for the past few weeks.

We’re feeling festive for all sorts of reasons these days. I’ll just jump right in:

Did you see the story King 5’s Evening Magazine did on us? It’s a great piece, and it was so much fun to film!

The night it aired, we all ate dinner together around the tv (although I dare you to try and eat when you’re waiting to see yourself on television in high def). After the show, we received numerous emails from new Hourglass fans. One that stood out was from the representative of Mandy Schendel, otherwise known as Miss Washington. She asked if they could stop by our studio to try on shoes for Mandy to wear in the Miss America Pageant in January…um, yes!

So on Friday, Lisa, Hillary and I met with Mandy and Peggy. What lovely people! Mandy is beautiful of course, but also surprisingly down-to-earth, eloquent, and funny.

She tried on one of her pageant dresses for us (you’ll just have to tune in to see what it looks like…I can tell you it’s gorgeous), and we all put our heads together and came up with the perfect custom pair of platforms to go with it. Really, she’s going to look amazing.

So yes! We’re officially partnering with Miss Washington, Mandy Schendel. She’s going to be wearing our shoes in a few events throughout the holiday season…and she’s also going to be wearing them when she competes in the 2013 Miss America Pageant on January 12th!

Mark your calendars. We couldn’t be more excited if we were wearing the crown ourselves.

We’ll keep you posted as new info comes in!
