Happy Weekend! With Parrots!

Yay, Friday! Well, yay for your Friday at least, which hopefully includes some free time! This will be in part a working weekend for us and our artists, since we’ve all got a big, exciting week coming up (more details soon!).

For now, let me ease you into your days off with a few pictures. Also, we need your opinion on some shoes below. So read on…

——

Hourglass artist Jeanie Lewis is, among many other titles, a talented henna artist. You’ll notice the henna influence and technique throughout all her shoe designs on our website.

She recently staged a photo shoot of some of her work, and used her Hourglass shoes as inspiration…or was it vice-versa? Either way, the shots look beautiful:

This next photo is of a very happy customer named Becca holding custom shoes that Hourglass artist Debbie painted for her. Becca owns a large salon in downtown Seattle and is on her feet a lot, so she chose a mid-heel.

Debbie did a great job coming up with a shoe design to compliment Becca’s obviously cute and edgy sense of style. Who knew pink, green and parrot go together?

They don’t match, mind you. They go. And we love the way they came out:

So here’s the question. Would you like to see this design for sale on our site? You can comment below or on our Facebook page

Thanks, and have yourselves a great weekend!

Sari platforms. . .amazing! You can sell a million of those (with the henna-legs!) Parrot-ones. . .I don’t think would have wide appeal.

  2. Paloma says:

Agreed. Particularly love Cranberry Jelly, but not crazy about the Parrot shoes–I try to keep animals off my shoes in general. 😛

  3. Dawn says:

    Cranberry Jelly too! Beautiful 🙂
